3/4 Sleeve Baseball T-Shirt
Sadly, we only made one sale on our previous T-Shirt fundraising campaign and we have decided to try it again with a new one. BonfireFund has changed their format and now includes more T-Shirt style varieties as well as the ability to offer at least 5 different colors for each of these styles. We have updated our Mobile Shop page with the new links and pictures as well. Below you will find a picture gallery of the available T-Shirt Styles, Sizing charts, prices and color choices.

Vintage Trailer Short Term Campaign

bonfiretshirtfrontSince we really need a mobile retail shop to house our vast supply of handcrafted items we have created over the last couple of years we are going to run a T-Shirt Campaign to get some initial funding to buy a used vintage trailer and convert it to a mobile retail shop to use while we are gathering the funding for our brand new replica 1961 Holiday House Travel Trailer Mobile Retail Shop. Once we purchase the vintage travel trailer, remake it into a mobile store and use it a few months we may be able to offer it as a reward for our main campaign or even rent it out for local craft businesses in North Florida and Southern Georgia to use at their own craft vending opportunities.

Missed Opportunities in Craft Business

AnkletsBraceletsFeb2014 (3)Missed opportunities in the craft business, for me, include this year’s Florida Folk Festival. Sadly, our RV decided it didn’t want to work and busted a radiator hose while we were traveling down I-10. We were stuck on the side of the road for about 9 hours in the heat of the day until my son-in-law was able to come by and help us replace the small 3 inch hose into it’s 1 inch space and refill the radiator. By the time we got it going again we decided to just head on back to our volunteer camping site at Olustee Beach. Even a greater tragedy is that I spent almost $400 on new supplies and materials for our booth to give it a fresh look. The organizers of the event has us place right around the main concert stage area so that we would have gotten some major traffic.

Shops on Wheels

Holidayhouse6Shops on Wheels has been a new promotional tool for us hand craft artists to sell our wares at craft shows, festivals and flea markets. We have a page that discusses our plans for turning a Holiday House Travel Trailer into a mobile retail shop to house all of our handcrafted items we create and to sell from at Florida festivals, crafts shows and farmer’s markets. Please check out our information page at: http://southernwomencrafts.com/latest-promos/holiday-house-mobile-boutique/

We have created a forum discussion board ( http://shopsonwheels.yuku.com/ ) to gather information from those who already have vintage travel trailers and have converted them into mobile retail shops and those who would like to. Because our vintage travel trailer idea is fairly unique and there are only about 10 or so left we have been looking for a vintage travel trailer replica manufacturer to create one for us. Most vintage trailer enthusiasts and renovators insists that these old-timers be brought back to their original design and used as campers. Continue reading “Shops on Wheels”
