Craft Business Start Tips jolenemac88, May 16, 2020September 8, 2021 We are all looking for ways we can make money from home. Crafty people would much prefer to make craft items than to learn how to run a business and get people to buy those same items. The trouble is what we love to create may not be what people are willing to pay money for, recommend to their friends and family and come back again when they have more money to get things they like. https://swconlinestore.com/product/hot-pink-and-teal-blue-crocheted-dragon-scales-8×7-inch-tote-with-white-lining/ A couple of ladies I know who are vendors at the Chiefland Farmers Flea Market have been stuck at home for over 4 weeks waiting on the market to be able to open back up and for the governor to allow us out and about. There were lots of posts on social media about this one and that one sewing all these cloth facemasks for the first responders because of the N95 FaceMasks that they wear were in very short supply. So they were working long into the night sewing bunches of them. Heck, even our military personnel asked for them in solid colors of black, olive green and I think white. They had people volunteering to purchase the supplies and give it to them to sew if they were unable to do it themselves. https://swconlinestore.com/product/gold-with-thin-black-stripe-hand-crocheted-footbag-7×7-inch/ Well, three ladies at the Market were doing the same thing only they were selling them for a couple of dollars apiece. Just enough to cover the cost of supplies. Now that we are able to get out and about they can charge more for them and actually make a few extra dollars. People are getting very creative with them and using all kinds of colors, different shapes and even One boy is 3D printing plastic pieces that wrap around the person’s head so that the elastic doesn’t have to go around the ears. It seems wearing facemasks for long periods of time not only doesn’t allow for enough fresh oxygen but marks up your face and makes your ears hurt. https://swconlinestore.com/product/pink-pearl-and-crystal-tibetan-silver-angel-wing-earrings/ The main tip anyone can give you about starting a craft business figuring out what the next big trend will be or what people will need now and create those to kick off sales for our own businesses. I see on social media everyday where people are improving these handcrafted facemasks. If someone can just figure out how to protect our nose and mouth without having our breath fog up our glasses now that would probably sell like hotcakes! Keep crafting ya’ll and share your latest with us.
