With all the ‘free’ time you have had lately and building up your crafting inventory with whatever it is that you like to make we thought we would suggest some tips to help you sell on these items that you have made over the last six months. I wrote a book for my fellow published authors and have uploaded it to Google Play, Smashwords, and Amazon so I thought I would begin another book just for craft artists and see how it goes.
Now the part about filling out your Amazon author page may not pertain to you but almost everything else will. You should apply to become a handmade artist on Amazon to feature your lovely items. I don’t recommend signing up for out-of-country selling right at the moment as most other country borders are still pretty well closed. They do not charge a monthly fee for those who fill out the application for the handmade artist instead of being a regular seller. They do charge a small percentage of sales when you make a sale. You can list as many items as you like. I do recommend that you complete each section inside the dashboard under the settings tab on the far right. Sadly, Amazon does not have a good import feature if you have a lot of products to add to your inventory. You will have to add them one at a time along with some great photographs.
Another great resource for us small businesses would be the local Small Business Development Centers in your county. Generally, they have information and hold classes at your local Chamber of Commerce. They are sponsored by the Small Business Administration and all of their informative videos, counseling sessions, etc. are free to everyone. I had an appointment with one of the counselors last month in Live Oak at the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce with the SBDC branch out of UNF.
