Discovering New Crafts to Make jolenemac88, March 14, 2024April 4, 2024 These days, discovering new crafts is much more convenient than it used to be. You no longer have to leave the comfort of your sofa if you don’t want to. Everything you need is available at your fingertips on online platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook crafting groups, and YouTube. If you prefer to go out, you can take craft making classes at the library or attend local craft festivals and groups. On days with good weather, I enjoy attending events, but when the weather is less favorable, I like to lounge in my pajamas and browse the internet for inspiration. Type in a few words about what you’re looking for in your Google search bar, click on the “Image” tab, and browse a wide array of pictures related to your search. As we’ve previously mentioned, Pinterest and Instagram are great sources of inspiration with their picture and video content. Keep in mind that these platforms can be addictive! Additionally, we’ve utilized YouTube to find helpful resources for our website’s posts and pages. While some may be better than others, there’s almost nothing you can’t find on these platforms to spark ideas for new projects to create for yourself, loved ones, or even selling purposes. Spring is the perfect time to acquire new skills and utilize them during the warm summer months, while anticipating the cooler days of fall to showcase your creations. Don’t allow your lack of knowledge in a particular area to deter you from learning and earning. Contact your local library to inquire about any upcoming classes, and if none are available, consider discussing with the head librarian about hosting courses that align with your interests. We have found that most libraries across Florida are open to this idea as it increases foot traffic. Alternatively, you could volunteer to lead a craft workshop for other visitors, which could potentially spark more opportunities for skill sharing within the community. You never know until you try!
