Getting Inspiration From Pinterest jolenemac88, May 15, 2024June 14, 2024 We get inspiration for our projects from a wide variety of sources but one I like the most is Pinterest. There is nothing quite like scrolling through all those lovely pictures of what people have already created to inspire you to create things of your own. Whether you are a crocheter, knitting, weaver, painter or even a jewelry maker you can find lots of different design ideas on this fascinating website. In almost every single search these days whatever you are searching for you will probably find a reference to in on a Pinterest board. I have been known to lay in bed with my cell phone and scroll through the Pinterest app for hours at a time adding items to my various boards to remember later. You can create these boards (folders) to copy your favorite pictures into for later use. We suggest that you fill out the description of each board so that you can remember why they are there later on. Of course, you do have the option to make the board “Private” just for your own viewing or leave it public so that your followers can look at what you have saved as well. It is a great place to post some of the things you have created as well. When you upload a “pin” make sure you fill out the description so that your fellow viewers will know something about the picture and you can even link it back to your product page on your online store. Most of the online store software product pages that has a sharing feature on social media should have a “Pinterest” share button on the page. It should collect the picture, attach the link to that page and a title or partial description should be included with the pin. All you have to do is choose the board you want them to be posted to. Who knows you might inspire someone to create something similar to yours in their own unique way. But the ultimate goal really is to sell your items. So take inspiration from others but create your items in your own unique style. Next time we’ll talk about the new upstart called Instagram that Facebook now owns. Northeast Florida Craft Vendors March 14, 2017September 5, 2017 Northeast Florida Craft Vendors really need more opportunities to sell their handcrafted wares. South and Central Florida really gets all the good events with tons of people attending until all the snow birds start heading back up north. It would be great if more of the state parks would start holding events all year long.
