Over the next couple of weeks there are lots of different opportunities to share your handcrafted items with lots of different people. Some of these opportunities are somewhat expensive to join in and be vendors but those are the ones with the most people attending. A couple of them have already filled up on their vendor quotient but would be great to add to your calendar for next year. There is a mixture of weekend long events and just a couple of hours on the weekend events. Depending on how much time you have and money you want to spend there are a wide variety of events all over the North Florida area to earn a few bucks and hopefully gather future buyers. Most of us craft vendors look at these events as a kind of marketing plan. You may not sell a lot of items but depending on your presentation, demeanor and marketing goods you give away you just may garner some loyal followers and buyers in the future. You want to give people your business cards as well as ask them to sign up for your newsletter and to receive emails from your online shop/blog. Even if they don’t buy now they may buy lots more in the future and even tell all the friends and family about the cute vendor booth they visited with the friendly and knowledgeable owner.
This is also a great time to make sure you social media apps are on your phone. While there you should take lots of pictures of the event, your booth and report your progress throughout the day. Weeks and days before the events are a great time to build momentum for anyone looking forward to attending the event(s) and meeting you in person. So post to all of your business social media accounts, your website, your online calendar and, if you have time, in your newsletter and blog posts. The more events you sign up for the more items you have to post and bring more people onto your sites.
