First Live Session For Crafting Business jolenemac88, July 16, 2022July 20, 2022 One of the many things that I have done to allow myself to become more independent and keep more of my profits from the items I and my family creates for sale is to have my own online store. Creating a secure place on your own domain that does not charge you fees to sell or list your items is a must-have these days. Yes, I will have to do more of the marketing for my wares but that is really true of all of us. I will not have a company lock my accounts for some strange reason only they are aware of and I will not be charged a monthly listing fee for all of my items nor an extra fee each and every time I actually am able to make a sale. If more and more crafter’s would take the time to learn how to create their own online store and spend the money they are already shelling out in listing and selling fees to pay for their own domain and website hosting then the big companies like Etsy, Shopify, Amazon Handmade, etc. will either have to lower their rates or just find something else to sell to unsuspecting newbies.
